During this practice, Elizabeth will take you into a deep experiential understanding of Tristana, the 3 pillars of the Ashtanga Yoga (breathing, bandhas, and dristi) as well as a richer knowledge of the Vinyasa count and rhythm of the practice. We will uncover how these techniques can lead us towards deeper levels of concentration and more subtle limbs of yoga. Elizabeth will lead you through an 2.5 hour primary series practice followed by pranayama, during which time you will receive additional instruction in the methods and philosophy of the practice. The mood and ambiance of this class is intended to be a meditative experience which may invite a greater level of absorption.
